Whether you are a complete beginner or looking to build on existing skills, our full-day blacksmithing session offers a hands-on, immersive dive into shaping hot metal using traditional tools and techniques.
What to Expect

Spend a full day in our fully equipped forge learning foundational skills from experienced craftspeople. From managing the forge and understanding metal temperatures to mastering hammer control and anvil work, you will guide raw steel from a straight bar into your very own finished piece to take home.

Lunch is provided so please provide any dietary restrictions in the notes section of your booking.

Attendance and Behaviour Guidelines

To ensure a safe, productive, and enjoyable day for everyone in the workshop, we ask all participants to adhere to the following standard guidelines:

Punctuality: Please arrive on time so that the group can complete the mandatory safety briefing together before any work begins in the forge.
Safety Compliance: Strict adherence to all safety instructions given by the instructor is required at all times. This includes wearing the mandatory protective gear provided (such as safety glasses and aprons) and wearing appropriate clothing (sturdy, natural-fiber clothing like cotton or wool, and full-coverage leather or canvas footwear).
Focus and Respect: Working with fire and hot metal requires constant concentration and awareness. Participants must maintain a responsible attitude, respect fellow makers, and follow all workshop rules regarding equipment usage.
Substance Policy: For everyone's safety, the use of alcohol or any impairing substances before or during the session is strictly prohibited.
