Based in the Malton area just North of York, in the beautiful countryside of Ryedale, Environmental Art produce a wide range of furniture and craft products.

We are a circular design and manufacture creating products and supplying services for more sustainable living. In our work we also hope to educate and inspire people into living, enjoying and working in a sustainable way.

All our products are handmade as locally as possible, to ensure the quality and help us further promote sustainability, local talent and reduce the carbon footprint of each product.

We can also offer a restoration and upholstery service for that piece of furniture that needs a little bit of love!

Your Weekend Journey:

Day 1:

Safety First: We'll begin with a thorough safety briefing to ensure a comfortable and productive learning environment.
Forge Your Future Blade: Heat, hammer, and shape your chosen blade style, then normalize and grind it to perfection. Heat treatment adds the finishing touch.
Day 2:

Handle with Care: Select the perfect wood for your handle, drill the tang hole, and meticulously sand it to shape.
The Final Touches: we'll securely attach your handle to the blade before giving it that final, razor-sharp edge.
Ready to Slice & Dice: Leave the workshop with your very own handmade knife, proudly presented in a beautiful wooden box.
Fuel Your Creativity:

Delicious Lunch: We'll keep you fueled with a delectable buffet lunch courtesy of The Cooks Place, a local favorite.
Hydration Station: Stay refreshed throughout the day with endless tea, coffee, and biscuits.
